There may come a time when your Postalytics integration with HubSpot is no longer the right fit for your marketing efforts. You might choose to disconnect or uninstall if you're shifting to a different marketing strategy, consolidating your marketing tools, or simply cleaning up your connected apps. The steps below will guide you through correctly removing the data synchronization and fully removing Postalytics from your HubSpot account to ensure no unexpected data exchange or access permissions remain.
Below, you’ll find the necessary steps to stop the data exchange as well as fully remove the Postalytics application from your HubSpot portal.
Disconnect the Integration
Disconnecting the integration stops the flow of data between your Postalytics account and HubSpot, but leaves the application installed in your HubSpot portal.
- Navigate to the Integrations page by clicking “Connect” in the drop down menu under your Postalytics username.
- Locate the HubSpot integration that you’d like to remove or disconnect and click the “Delete” button
- Review the list of features that will no longer function once disconnected, and confirm by clicking “Delete”.
Uninstall the App from HubSpot
To completely remove the application and its associated permissions from your HubSpot account, you must uninstall it directly within HubSpot.
- Log in to your HubSpot account.
- Click the settings icon (⚙️) in the main navigation bar.
- In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Integrations > Connected Apps.
- Locate the Postalytics application in the list.
- Click the Uninstall button next to the app's name.
- A pop-up will appear asking you to confirm the uninstallation. Select your reason for uninstalling and click Uninstall.

What Happens When You Disconnect or Uninstall?
It is important to understand the effects of both actions on your data and account functionality.
Effects of Disconnecting within the Postalytics App
Data Sync Stops: Data exchange, synchronization, and automated workflows between Postalytics and HubSpot will immediately cease.
App Status: The application remains installed in your HubSpot portal, retaining its permissions and any custom properties or fields it may have created.
Data Retention: No existing data is deleted from either system.
Effects of Uninstalling within HubSpot
Permissions Revoked: Postalytics will lose all access and ability to read, write, or modify data in your HubSpot account.
Custom Data:
Data in HubSpot: Core data (Contacts, Companies, Deals) that was created or modified by the integration is generally not automatically deleted.
App-Specific Data: Custom properties, custom objects, or dedicated data stores created by the application within HubSpot may be deleted upon uninstallation.
Functionality: All integrated features and workflows that rely on the connection will be permanently disabled. Your data in Postalytics remains intact, but the connection to HubSpot is fully severed.
