Pre-purchasing Postalytics Direct Mail Credits can be an effective way to manage your budget, and we understand there may be times when you need to reallocate credits from one format to another. Previously, this required reaching out to customer support and waiting for backend adjustments. To simplify this process, we’ve introduced the Direct Mail Credit Conversion Tool. This new feature allows you to move your credits easily and quickly, directly within the Postalytics app.
Navigate to the Conversion Tool
To access the tool first select “Direct Mail Credits” from the drop down menu under your account username.
Then click “Convert Direct Mail Credits” on the left side menu.

The conversion tool page consists of three sections:
Credits Available for Conversion - All of the Direct Mail Credit formats within your account that can be used, organized by Product Name, Country, Current Balance, and the Total Value of that bucket.
Convert Your Credit - Drop down menus with the available selections for the conversion.
Pending Conversion Transactions - Conversions that are currently processing/pending.
Convert Your Credits
Using the category drop down menus, make your selections for the conversion.
First is Country - either US or Canada.Credits cannot be transferred between countries.
Next, select the credit format you’re taking credits from. This list will only contain credit formats that you currently have balances in.
Then select the desired format for the conversion, taking into account the postage type as well. All formats that Postalytics offers for the selected country will be available in this drop down.
Finally, enter the amount of credits you are taking from the initial format type. You can either use the arrow up/down to get to your desired quantity or type it in the box.
Click “Calculate” to proceed.
Note: Direct Mail Credits do not convert 1 to 1 due to many variables, such as: original purchase price, format, postage type, etc. Be sure to check the calculation on the following pop up page to ensure the transfer outcome is desirable.
The following pop up page includes the conversion details. Here is where you’ll see the conversion quantity to the new format. If this number doesn’t meet your desired amount, or you want to change the conversion for any reason, click “Close” to go back to the previous page. If everything looks good, click “Convert Now” to continue the processing.
The conversion process can take up to 5 minutes and will need to be completed before another conversion with either one of these formats can be made. Click “Close” to go back to the conversion tool home page.
Pending Conversion Transactions
The transaction is now in process, typically taking about 5 minutes, and will be listed in the Pending Conversion Transactions section.
Once the transfer has completed you’ll be able to move forward using the converted credits.
