My Pixel Isn't Collecting Leads
Pixel Not Collecting Leads?
If a pixel isn't returning leads, work through these checks in order — most cases are one of the first few.
![]()
1. Is the pixel Live?
New pixels start Off. Open the pixel and confirm the status is Live — click Go Live if not. See Pixel Status.
2. Is the snippet installed?
The snippet must be on the pages you want to track. Re-check that it's in your site template before </body>. See Installing Your Pixel.
3. Are you inside the schedule?
If the pixel uses scheduled dates, it only collects between the On and Off dates. Confirm today falls inside that window — see Pixel Scheduling.
4. Has enough time passed?
Lead delivery is not instant — there's a normal processing delay, so leads typically appear over the following hours, not immediately. Give it up to a day before concluding something's wrong.
5. Is your budget cap reached?
If the pixel hit its Monthly Leads Budget for the cycle, collection pauses until the next cycle. Raise the budget if you want more leads this month.
6. Is the filtering too tight?
Very narrow geographic or demographic filters can exclude most visitors. Loosen the filters and save — see How to Edit a Pixel.
7. Low traffic = few leads
MailBack™ identifies a portion of visitors. Low site traffic naturally yields few leads. Higher traffic generally means more leads.
