How to Edit a Pixel

Editing Your Pixel

You can update most pixel settings after it's created — its name, schedule, filters, and data options.

There are two ways to open settings:

1) From the pixels list

On the pixels list, open the pixel's kebab menu (the ⋮ icon on its row) and choose Settings.

2) From the pixel dashboard

When viewing a pixel's dashboard, click the gear icon in the upper-right to open the Settings.

Either route opens the edit page with the pixel's current settings loaded.

What you can change:

  • Pixel name — Letters, numbers, and spaces only

  • Schedule — Always On, or specific start/end dates

  • Filters — Geographic and demographic targeting

  • Budget — Adjust your monthly and daily lead caps to raise or lower spend

  • Google Tag Manager Referrer  — Toggle On or Off

What you can't change:

  • Data Tier — this is fixed once the pixel is created, by design. Switching tiers would change the data columns returned, which could break the variable data mappings of any campaign or Flow the pixel feeds. If you need a different tier, create a new pixel instead.

Save your changes

Click Save. Changes apply going forward; leads already collected are not affected.

Tip: To pause collection without changing settings, just turn the pixel Off — see Pixel Status.
