How Do Leads Become Mail?

How Leads Become Mail Through Flows

Every MailBack™ pixel connects to a Flow — the automation that handles each lead it captures. At a minimum the Flow saves leads to a contact list; connect it to a triggered drip campaign and that campaign mails them a postcard or letter automatically, without you lifting a finger for each one.

The idea

1. Your pixel captures a lead.

2. The lead enters the connected Flow (every pixel has one).

3. The Flow saves the lead to a contact list and — if it's tied to a triggered drip campaign — that campaign mails the lead automatically.

Because it's automated, every qualifying lead is handled consistently — no manual list pulls or uploads.

Sending mail is optional

Connecting a Flow isn't optional — leads always run through one. Sending mail is the optional part. A Flow can simply collect leads into a contact list (for nurturing, export, or use elsewhere), or it can also mail them by tying to a triggered drip campaign (see below).

Connecting a pixel to a Flow

A pixel is tied to a Flow when you build it (the Data Action step) and you can review or change it from the pixel's Flow tab afterward.

Sending mail: connect a triggered drip campaign

The Flow itself doesn't design the mail piece. To send mail, the Flow ties to a triggered drip campaign you've already created — the campaign holds the mail design and sends the pieces. In the Flow, the one thing you choose is which drip campaign to tie to.

What you need before mail can go out

Set these up first, then connect the campaign to your Flow:

1. A mail template — the postcard or letter design.

2. A triggered drip campaign that uses that template.

3. Direct mail credits available on the campaign to cover the sends.

Tip: If leads are landing in your contact list but nothing is mailing, check that the Flow is tied to a drip campaign and that the campaign has direct mail credits available.

Note: Flows are part of the MailBack™ experience for eligible plans. If you don't see Flow options, check your Add-On Subscription.
